Wine Bottle (Label Project)

For this wine Project, I use my Adjuster 2,
including the assets.

Again, this image is from Kensington Project.
The code with HYPE file.
My swatches.
The outcome, the style I wanted. I chose
leaves because I think it is a great style to use
for wine bottle.

After I created the bottle, I mapped all of my assets to it.
Creating the design was the biggest challenge for me.
I've also put all of the information that I had to use, such as
Producer: AMD vineyards
country of origin: Canada
Alcohol content: 17%
Vintage date: 2013
And DAHON means Leaf in Tagalog (Filipino).
I'm just really trying to be very creative for this project.

The Final Product.
And here is my other one,  the flavor
of this one is Grape. For this one, I
used my 1st Adjuster.
The Final product.
UBAS means Grape in Tagalog (Filipino).

Audio_003GridLayoutT

In this image, you can see the codes that we use with HYPE.
The song is called "02-horropops-missfit.mp3"
This is the one we did in-class, basic animation for audio.
We just used a red triangle, when the music becomes louder,
the shape of the triangle will become bigger. I follows
the rhythm.

DMA455DA - Project@The Movies - Jedi Fonts

The Jedi Movie
http://fonts.simplythebest.net/Movie-fonts.html

Here's the whole code with PNG print.
We used the HYPE Frameworks to run it.
I use "Star Wars Theme Song".
I downloaded this image from google, and now
I'm going to use this to select 5 colors for my swatches.

My swatches, 5 colors.
I also downloaded this from Google, it's the Jedi logo.
Now, I'm going to play with it using my swatches.
The Final Logo of the Jedi, my version.
This is what it looks like after saving it as PNG from Flash,
I just need to create a Black background.
The final outcome.
It was printed with the code, it's not print screen.

DMA455DA - Homework Adventure (Adjuster Mod)

1st Adjuster
It's the image that I'm going to use for this homework.
In photography class, we had to take pictures of TEXTURES,
I have plenty of them, and i chose this.
I selected a shape from the image.

For my swatches, I chose 5 different colors
from Kuler.Adobe.com.
Paste the shape that I like.
You can see the shapes in the library that I'm working on.
So here is the Code, with HYPE file.
The final Outcome.
More?

2nd Adjuster
This image is from my Kensington Project.
In my second swatches, most of the colors that I chose are green,
that's the theme of it because the shape that I selected from
the image was a Leaf.
The final Outcome.

3rd Adjuster
Another image from Kensington Project.
In my third swatches, most of the colors
represents the Philippines flag.
The final Outcome.

DMA455DA - Advanced Action Scripts with Flash (Report)

Week 1: Flash use to be fun based on my experience
In DMA205 - Introduction to Flash, I struggled learning the use of Adobe Flash CS5 software in the beginning, but I still manage to survive in the end by getting extra help from others. I had fun doing animation in Flash, such as creating a Bell commercial using lots of texts and images. The word "Fun" disappeared when I reached DMA355 - Advanced Flash because we had to create a web content or a game, and we must use Action Script which was hard to learn by ourselves. Therefore, based on my experience, I would say  Action Script with Flash is Dead because it was very complicated to use, no wonder why it's not good enough for iPads, iPhones, and other smartphones.

Important Notes from the Articles:

http://www.zdnet.com/blog/networking/flash-is-dead-long-live-html5/1633

"Apple. With this move, Adobe has conceded that Flash was never going to make it to iPads or iPhones. "

http://www.theverge.com/2012/8/14/3241727/flash-for-android-dies

"Adobe never really had a chance with iOS, but it faltered where it did have a chance — on Android."

Flash "was not going to achieve the same ubiquity on mobile that it has on the desktop."

http://www.thestar.com/business/article/1083764--steve-jobs-wins-flash-being-phased-out-from-mobile-devices

Jobs wrote. “Adobe claims that we are a closed system, and that Flash is open, but in fact the opposite is true.”

"Flash is the main reason Mac computers crash, is a drain on batteries and was designed for traditional desktop computers, not touchscreens."

Week 2: The Disadvantages of Incorporating Flash Designs

http://www.netstarter.com.au/services/web-design/what-is-flash-design
  • Websites with Flash designs may experience incompatibility with certain web browsers.
  • Flash designs often require the user to have the latest version of Flash plug-ins to be compatible.
  • Search engines are often unable to process and rank a website which predominantly uses Flash designs. Thus a text only or html web page design may need to be produced to calculate SEO.
  • Flash designs often take longer to load than simple html web pages.
  • Flash designs are widely used in web advertisements, and thus some browsers may contain tools to block Flash content from appearing.
  • Not all web browsers may have a flash player installed and so it may limit the number of clients who can actually view your web page design.
  • Websites created using only Flash designs often contain very small fonts thus making them very hard to read.
Week 3: Versions of Flash
I think it's smart and helpful  that the company of adobe creates many versions of flash every 8 months or year, such as creating Adobe Flash CS6 from CS5.5. Every version has its own new features - so just see if those new features are what we need. Check this site to see.

Week 4: HYPE Framework
  • Just before Adobe Max I had the opportunity to visit the Joshua Davis workshop about the  HYPE Framework.
  • The HYPE-framework is a easy framework for creating digital art.
  • It makes it easy to build computer based art in Actionscript 3.
  • Josh is a very outgoing and super friendly person. All of us had really good fun with him.
  •  It was build by Branden Hall &Joshua Davis.
  •  HYPE is just for people who are new to programming.
  • HYPE is for anyone, regardless of skill, who wants to play with code.
  • The point of HYPE is to make Flash fun again.
  • We made HYPE to help bring back the playfulness that once defined our community.

Week 5: It's Not Dead, Flash can deal with those format without any problems
Even Adobe have decide to move away of Flash, but lot of web designer also still using Flash, and all the action strip is strongly being use in this work area. For closing, Indeed Flash may not be the official standard during this moment, but we still need using Flash for our PC, smart phone and all those tablets, and even for Video such as Youtube, we still need Flash

Week 6:  Flush is not working in chrome
Adobe Flash Player is directly integrated with Google Chrome and enabled by default. Available updates for Adobe Flash Player are automatically included in Chrome system updates. If you want to use Adobe Flash Player in other browsers, you’ll need to separately download the Adobe Flash Player for those browsers.

http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=108086

Week 7:  Enable or disable Adobe Flash Player
These instructions apply to Google Chrome on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS.Type chrome:plugins in the address bar to open the Plug-ins page.On the Plug-ins page that appears, find the "Flash" listing. To enable Adobe Flash Player, click the Enable link under its name. To disable Adobe Flash Player completely, click the Disable link under its name.

Note: If you've previously installed Adobe Flash Player separately, you'll see two files listed for the plug-in. If both are listed as enabled, the version bundled with Chrome will be used. To enable a specific version of Adobe Flash Player, click Details in the upper-right corner of the page. Then click the Enable link for the version of Adobe Flash Player you want to enable. The table below shows the filename for the version that is integrated with Google Chrome.

http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=108086

Week 8:  Chopy and slow Flash Player.
I have the same problem all the time. The problem you may be facing is as follows: after upgrading to Flash Player 11.3 or higher, you may be seeing choppy playback in Flash movies on some websites, under some situations. For example, Youtube movies might be all smooth and dandy when viewed on the organic website, however embedded instances might not.

http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/flash-slow-performance.html

Week 9:  Flash Player performance
If you're seeing a choppy playback in embedded videos but not organic ones, this probably means there's something in the Flash Player that restricts the playback of embedded content, probably because it points to third-party sites. So a word comes to mind, security. After seeing the phenomenon affect my box, I realized there might be a new feature in Flash Player 11.3, which may not have been existed or may not have been activated before, which is causing the performance problems. So, some research is needed.

http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/flash-slow-performance.html

Week 10: Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols for Networking
Sure, Adobe is moving away from Flash, and I too once thought that meant that HTML5 was going to magically do away with Flash. I was wrong. All HTML5 video really does is sweep the question of which video containers and codecs under the the rug. Today, Web designers must support not just Flash, but several video formats to be sure that their visitors can watch their videos.

Week 11:  Flash Go away
On the laptop, some Flash sites burn through battery and kick in the fan. I'm fine seeing Flash go away. If HTML5 and h.264 work with iOS and Android, I am just reasoning they can work fine on most computers and laptops.

Week 12: Why Flash is Dying?
It will be completely dead very soon. Because even though the HTML5 standard does not formally define a standard video codec, there's already a de facto standard codec, which is supported by practically 100% of all HTML5-capable devices.

Week 13-14: Flash is not really important to me
So, I don't really give a damn about Flash, it's up to the society and the people.
